Genesis 1:1-5, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.”
“Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So, the evening and the morning were the first day.”
Rephrased, “In the beginning, God initiated the universe’s creation and created the heaven and earth. The earth was disorganized, dark and void. The Spirit of God hovered over the waters’ surface.”
“God then commanded, “Let there be light,” and right away there was light. He observed the light and saw that it was good. Thus, He separated the light from the darkness and labeled the former Day while calling the latter Night. That is how the evening and morning formed Day One.”
The Trinity of God, – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – have been eternally eternal since the beginning of time. They are present in all that is known as God and what has been revealed to Man throughout history.
God created the heavens and the earth in the beginning, but His Word was already here. He was with God from eternity past and is still today; He is the Alpha and Omega, being before anything else existing or in Creation. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we are given an understanding of who this unmeasurable Trinity is.
Genesis 1:26-28, “Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
“So, God created man in His own image; in the image of God, He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Rephrased, “Then God said, “We should create humanity in Our exact likeness, mirroring Our image. God has given people the authority to rule over every creature on earth, including the fish of the sea, birds of the air, and all creatures that creep across its surface.”
“Consequently, God fashioned mankind in His likeness; male and female He created them both, mirroring the image of God. The Almighty bestowed His blessing on them and said, “Multiply in number and fill the earth. Be masters of the creatures of the sea, air and land.” This gave them authority over all living beings that move upon the earth.”
From the beginning of creation, the eternally eternal ones God the Father, His only Son Jesus, and The Holy Spirit have been at work. They are separate yet parts of God Himself, acting together for one reason. They are the Alpha and Omega—the beginning and the end of all things.
At the start of time, God created the universe, and His Word was there with Him – which is none other than Jesus. We should remember this fact as it helps shape our perspective on our faith in Jesus. This knowledge gives us hope, strength and courage against all odds. That hope is rooted in faith that our Creator ‘s love for us one greater than any challenge we may face in this world.
John 1:1-5, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
Rephrased, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word coexisted with God; in fact, it was God. He was there with God from the start – everything that has been made, got created through Him, and nothing of what is made exists without Him. In Him was life, the kind of life that gave light to those around Him. He was the source of illumination and although the darkness tried to overpower it, it never succeeded. The light continues to shine brightly even in these trying times.”
From the dawn of time, Father God has been a source of unending love, light, and mercy as the Alpha and Omega. Following in His path were His beloved creations – Jesus, who is God made flesh, and the Holy Spirit who walks with us along our life’s journey.
Together they formed an eternal trinity and are integral to the triune nature of our Lord. These three members of the trinity have been present since the beginning when God created Heaven and Earth, as signified by His Word and presence made manifest in Jesus Christ.
John 1:6-10, “There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe. He was not that Light but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.”
“He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
Rephrased, “John was an emissary from God, sent to testify about the Light. He himself was not the Light – but his goal was to help everyone who believed in Him to receive it. That is the true divine source of illumination that has enlightened every person who steps into this world.”
“He was in existence before the world was even created and yet, the world did not recognize Him. He visited His own people, but they failed to receive Him. Many accepted Him as Lord and were given the privilege to be regarded as God’s children. Those who trusted in His name were born not from common lineage, physical desire, or another human’s will – rather it was God Himself who initiated it.”
It is no secret that the Father, God Almighty, His only son Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit are three separate yet interdependent entities. Each of them serves unique divine purposes and together they form God Himself – the Alpha and Omega. From the beginning of time, God created the heavens and the earth.
He also created everything in them. His presence was manifested in His word as John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”. Ultimately, He sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ so all mankind can find redemption through him, by believing in him and trusting him with our lives.
John 1:14-18, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
“John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’”
“And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.”
Rephrased, “Jesus was incarnated and lived among us, we saw His glory, the majestic glory of the only son of God. John testified about Him and shouted saying: “The one coming after me is before me because He existed before me”.”
“Each one of us has a share in the completeness of God and have been granted favor upon favor. The law was given through Moses, but it is only through Jesus that we have gained access to grace and truth. No one has ever seen God’s face, but the only begotten Son, being in His very arms, has been given the task of making Him known to us.”
The existence of God, His only Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit have been an eternal fascination throughout history. We know from scripture and faith that from the beginning of time, God has been the Alpha and Omega, bringing forth all that is good into this world.
He created the heavens and the earth in His own image and gave us a taste of His infinite love making mankind in its own image too. Through His Holy Word ‘Jesus’, he showed us what love looks like, what justice is, and He brought us closer to eternity through grace. Thus, God himself became part of this world in spirit providing eternal hope to those who believe in Him.
Revelation 22:12-17, “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to everyone according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”
“Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.”
“I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”
“And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.”
Rephrased, “I am on my way and when I arrive, My(Christ) rewards will go to each one, depending upon his deeds. I am both the Alpha and Omega, the Source and the End, the First and Final One.”
“Those who obey God’s commands are truly blessed, as they will be given the opportunity to partake in the fruit of the tree of life and gain entry to His heavenly city. On the contrary, all who indulge in vices such as sorcery, immorality, murders, idolatry, and deceitful practices will be kept away.”
“As Jesus, I dispatched an emissary to assure you of these truths in your congregations. I am the Origin and Descendant of David and the Brilliant Morning Star.”
“The Bride and the Spirit of God have called out, “Come!” All who hear should also call out, “Come!” Those who are thirsty should come and partake of the Water of Life freely. Whoever is inclined to accept, may partake generously.”
From the beginning of time and in every corner of the universe, the triune God has been the only existing and infinite being. He is eternally existent in three persons, unchangeable in His love: Father God, His only Son Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit. This holy trinity has been seen as one divine being who was present at the creation of our universe and whose love guides us throughout every change in life.
Throughout scripture, we have been reminded that this loving yet mysterious God who is simultaneously three-in-one was known from eternity; “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). In John 1:1 it states that “In the beginning was the Word, and The Word was with God, and The Word was God”. This triune of eternity stands witness to the very essence of creation – they are known as Alpha and Omega, which implies their supremacy over all matters of the past.
2 Peter 3:8-9, “But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”
Rephrased, “Though it may seem hard to fathom, please remember that for the Lord, a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is just like one day. The Lord is always faithful to His promises and has patience with us, hoping that no one should be destroyed but that everyone should turn back to Him in repentance.”
1 John 4:7-11, “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”
Rephrased, “Let us express our love for each other and show that we are of God, for love is His true nature. Everyone who loves knows the Lord and anyone who does not, does not understand Him truly as He is all about love.
“God’s love for us was revealed when He sent His one and only Son to the world so that we may have eternal life. It is not because we loved Him, but rather it is because of His unconditional love for us that He sacrificed His Son to be the atonement for our sins. As we have been loved by God, it is our duty to love one another with the same level of affection and kindness.”
1 John 4:17-19, “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.”
Rephrased, “God’s perfect love is what gives us the courage to stand in front of Him on Judgment Day. As He is so we in this world – His love has allowed us to become more like Him. Love is a strong emotion which can free us from fear.
“Fear is painful and causes suffering, while true love gives us the perfect balance of security and freedom. If we practice love with an open heart, fear will be non-existent in our lives. We appreciate His unconditional love and kindness towards us, which is why we return the same kind of affection and adoration back to Him.”
