Moonstone- Guardian Stone of New Beginnings
On our journey towards knowing, understanding, and fulfilling our calling and purpose in life with God through Jesus Christ, we come to the eighth step in our quest: The Moonstone- Guardian Stone of New Beginnings. The Scriptures tell us that God specializes in doing something new for us (Isaiah 43:18). Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old.
Let’s forget about the past and focus on what lies ahead. Thinking of the old days won’t get us anywhere, so let’s move on and do something great! This emphasizes that God’s actions for each individual are distinct and personalized to their specific needs. Hence, what He does for one person may be entirely different from what He does for another.
It’s time to look forward and focus on the future. The past may have been filled with obstacles and challenges, but it’s in the past now. Let’s take a leap of faith, leave it all behind, and create something new. We don’t need to dwell on what was; instead, let’s work together to make a better tomorrow!
His work is individualized and tailored to meet each one’s need specifically, which means that no two people will have the exact same experience when it comes to meeting their destiny with God. In order to receive all that God has designed specifically for us as individuals, we must remember not to look back at the former things but instead focus on the present moment and all of its possibilities.
The Moonstone will help us take this new perspective by helping us remember this promise from Isaiah 43:19-21 – ‘Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
The beast of the field will honor Me, the jackals and the ostriches, Because I give waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to My people, My chosen. This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise.”
My chosen people can praise Me for providing water in the hardest of places. The desert sand and the field will honor Me as I provide rivers in the wilderness, allowing My special people to stay hydrated. It is these same individuals who I have created to spread My name throughout the world.
The Lord promises a new thing that will spring forth, something unexpected and unseen. He gives us this promise as a reminder of His power and His ability to do the impossible in our lives. He can make a path in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, showing us that with Him all things are possible. With faith and trust in God, we can embrace change and look forward with hope to the new thing He will bring into our lives.
God’s miraculous power is evident in the way He provides for His chosen people. Even in the most desolate landscapes, He finds ways to bring forth life-giving water. Through this abundant provision, His special ones are able to thrive and honor Him in their praises. By providing rivers in the wilderness, God shows us that no matter how hard a situation may seem, there is always hope for something better.

Isaiah 43:16-17, Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea and a path through the mighty waters, who brings forth the chariot and horse, The army and the power (They shall lie down together, they shall not rise; They are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick):
The Lord’s words bring comfort and hope to those who are in need of a way forward. His words offer guidance and direction, even though the toughest of times. He speaks of a way made in the sea and a path through the mighty waters, leading us to safety and security. He promises that even in our greatest struggles, He will provide us with chariots and horses, armies and power – all so that we may lie down together in peace, never to rise again.

Matthew 9:14, “Then the disciples of John came to Him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but Your disciples do not fast?”
The question of why Jesus’ disciples did not fast often, like the Pharisees, was brought to Him by the disciples of John. In response, Jesus explained that His followers would be able to experience true joy and spiritual freedom if they followed His teachings instead of focusing on external practices like fasting. He taught that it was more important to focus on honoring God through acts of love and kindness.
Matthew 9:15, “And Jesus said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.”
Jesus’ words in this passage speak to the power of relationships, and the inevitability of change. He speaks of a bridegroom and his friends who, while he is with them, can only rejoice and be glad—but when he is taken away their joy will turn to mourning. Through this story, Jesus reminds us that life is both full of joy and sorrow, but that we should cherish each moment we have with our loved ones while they are still here.
Matthew 9:16, “No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse.”
The wisdom behind this proverb is timeless, and it can be applied to many aspects of our lives. This proverb emphasizes the importance of being prudent and taking time to think carefully about solutions before taking action.
Matthew 9:17, “Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”
The saying “new wine into new wineskins” is an ancient proverb used to emphasize the importance of taking on new challenges with fresh approaches. It speaks to the concept that if we try to fit old solutions into new problems, they will ultimately fail. Instead, we must take a different approach and use innovative solutions in order to preserve both the problem and its solution.
