Ephesians 1:15-21, “Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.
Which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.”
We have come to the 28th step of our spiritual journey towards understanding God’s will for our lives through Jesus Christ. Lapis Lazuli is the guardian stone of this step, and its properties are believed to open up the eyes of our hearts – leading us to understand what the hope of His calling for us individually. This moment in our journey poses a double-edged blade – it encourages us to find out what we truly believe in, while on the other hand, it inquires that we focus and exercise patience as God reveals his will for us.
2 Corinthians 4:1-6, “Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor [a]handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.”
For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake. For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
In today’s world, many of us are looking for our true purpose in life. The Lapis Lazuli is known as the guardian stone of enlightenment, believed to assist us in finding and embracing our calling, purpose, and destiny – the 28th step on this journey. Through this stone we are given insight into our hidden talents within ourselves that will ultimately help us find our true passion and purpose with God through Jesus Christ.
As a reminder of this, I pray that the eyes of your hearts may be enlightened so that you will know what the hope of His calling is – to help guide you along your path in life to follow His will and calling.
Ezra 9:8, “But now for a brief moment grace has been shown from the Lord our God, to leave us an escaped remnant and to give us a peg in His holy place, that our God may enlighten our eyes and grant us a little reviving in our bondage.”
The Lapis Lazuli stone has been used down the ages to promote spiritual growth and self-discovery. It is believed that the Lapis Lazuli stone encourages us on our quest to find our calling, purpose, and destiny in life with God through Jesus Christ. People often carry this Guardian Stone of Enlightenment as a reminder that enlightenment comes from above and not from within us.
The Lapis Lazuli is known for its ability to “open the eyes of your heart” so that you can be enlightened about what God’s calling is for you. We can all benefit from carrying this stone as a reminder to look up to the Lord when seeking out answers about our purpose and mission in life. Through His grace, we can all hope to discover what our true potentials are with His divine help.
Psalms 19:7-11, “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
More to be desired are they then gold, Yea, than much fine gold, Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover, by them Your servant is warned, and in keeping them there is great reward.”
