Zachariah 13:7-9, “Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, Against the Man who is My Companion,” says the Lord of hosts. “Strike the Shepherd, And the sheep will be scattered; Then I will turn My hand against the little ones. And it shall come to pass in all the land,” Says the Lord, “That two-thirds in it shall be cut off and die, but one-third shall be left in it:
I will bring the one-third through the fire, Will refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, And I will answer them. I will say, ‘This is My people’; And each one will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’”
The Firewalk is a powerful reminder of the journey that each of us must take to move closer to realizing our true calling, purpose, and destiny in life with God, through Jesus Christ. It is symbolized by walking over a bed of hot coals that represent being refined by “fire” – figuratively speaking – as it brings us closer to reaching our potential.
Being refined by fire is crucial for moving forward because it helps us to rid ourselves of all the unnecessary impurities, weight and/or extra baggage we may have. This act teaches us an important lesson – if we want to move forward in life, we must learn to let go of things that no longer serve us and instead focus on the objectives that are most meaningful. Doing so can help us reach greater heights.
1 Corinthians 3:8-17, “Now he who plants, and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. 9 For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field; you are God’s building. 10 According to the grace of God, which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it.
For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.
If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire. Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.”
For centuries, fire has been used as a tool for purification and refinement. Firewalk is the eleventh step of our journey toward our calling, purpose, and destiny to build a relationship with God by Jesus Christ. Being refined by fire is essential for advancing in this journey and letting go of unnecessary impurities, heaviness, or excess baggage.
A strong foundation of faith is essential for our spiritual journey in this world. This guides us to gain useful knowledge and wisdom, leading us closer to the Lord’s divine mercy. It serves as an invaluable protective shield on our path towards success in our spiritual life.
Hebrews 11:1-12, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he is being dead still speaks.
By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken, he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. Therefore, from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude— innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.”
In a world of chaos and uncertainty, absolute faith in God, His Word, and Christ is the foundation that carries us through all things. Believing in something greater than ourselves brings with it a joy that is indescribable and filled with glory. Through faith, we receive the ultimate reward—the salvation of our souls and the souls of others.

Like the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who were bound and placed in a furnace, and it was burning seven times hot. Because the men refused change the beliefs and bow before an idol. And, after they were thrown into fiery furnace, the King saw they were no longer bound, and they were walking around in the fire.
Then the King noticed instead three men in the fire. He saw four and the King said, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.” “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
The Lesson is when you allow yourself to be refined whether it was voluntary or not what is in you will be revealed and anything that doesn’t have value, is impure, or unnecessary will be burn away and remove.
Daniel 3:19, Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the expression on his face changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. He spoke and commanded that they heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated.
Nebuchadnezzar was a cruel and powerful ruler, and his wrath was felt by Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego when he commanded them to be thrown into a furnace that had been heated seven times more than usual. Despite the danger they faced, the three refused to bow down to the king’s wishes and stood firm in their faith.
Daniel 3:20 And he commanded certain mighty men of valor who were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, and cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
In a stunning show of strength and courage, King Nebuchadnezzar commanded his mighty men of valor to bind the three Hebrews, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. He then had them cast into the burning fiery furnace as a demonstration of his power. Despite the dire circumstances they faced, these three men remained faithful to their God and miraculously survived their ordeal in the furnace.
Daniel 3:21 Then these men were bound in their coats, their trousers, their turbans, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
No sooner had the words left the mouth of the King than three men were marched up to the fiery furnace. They were bound in their coats, trousers, turbans and other garments, leaving them unable to resist their fate as they were cast into the depths of the burning heat. Little did they know that this would be a journey that would change their lives forever.
Daniel 3:22-23, Therefore, because the king’s command was urgent, and the furnace exceedingly hot, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
In the face of certain death, three courageous men stood firm in their faith and refused to bow down to the idol of King Nebuchadnezzar. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego were thrown into a blazing furnace as punishment for their disobedience but remained unharmed by the flames. This miraculous event serves as an inspiring testament to the power of faith in the face of adversity.
Daniel 3:24, Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?”
They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.”
King Nebuchadnezzar was astounded when his three prisoners were miraculously spared from the raging flames of a fiery furnace. He questioned his counselors, asking if they had in fact thrown the three men into the fire. To his surprise, they confirmed his suspicions that all three had indeed been bound and cast into the midst of the fire.
Daniel 3:25, “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.”
These words, spoken by King Nebuchadnezzar have been interpreted in many ways through the centuries. But what is certain is that these three men were facing a fearsome trial – to stand before a blazing furnace, or face death.
Yet even in this moment of danger, their faith held strong as the king saw a fourth figure walking with them – one with the form of the Son of God. It was a powerful reminder that no matter what we face in life, God is always there to give us strength and courage.
In a miraculous moment, four figures appeared to be walking through flames unscathed. It was a moment that could not be denied and the one who witnessed it shouted out in awe, claiming the fourth figure was similar to the Son of God. This incredible event sparked a sense of wonder and amazement, as it represented an act of power beyond human comprehension.
The only way to test gold, silver, and diamonds is by placing them in fiery furnace and wait for all the impurities to melt and you do not bring them out of the fire until you can see your reflection. Gold in its purest form is transparent, clear as crystal, and reflex like a mirror.
When it comes to testing gold, silver, and diamonds, traditional methods have been used for centuries. One of the oldest and most reliable methods is to place the precious metals and stones in a fiery furnace and wait for all impurities to melt away. This method is so reliable that it can reveal even the slightest imperfections in jewelry and gems, allowing you to make sure you’re getting what you pay for. By waiting until you can see your reflection in the metal or stone before removing it from the fire, you know that your item has been tested with absolute accuracy.
Gold, silver and diamonds are some of the most valuable possessions. To ensure their authenticity and quality, these precious metals and stones have been tested by a time-honored method – placing them in a fiery furnace. This process purifies the metals and stones by melting away all the impurities, leaving only the purest form of these materials behind. The test is complete when one can see their reflection on the material, signifying that it is ready for use.
Gold is one of the most precious metals in the world and its unique properties make it unlike any other metal. In its purest form, gold is clear and has a reflective quality similar to a mirror. It is also transparent, allowing light to pass through it which gives it an ethereal glow that can be mesmerizing.
The story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego is the perfect example of how were continuously being tested and refined by fire in our everyday lives. When your faith is continuously being tested your reflection will be in the image of Christ, and God will always get the glory and you will receive honor, favor, and rewarded in the end.
1 Peter 1:6-9, “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.”
Firewalk is a part of an important journey that we take in our lives when it comes to finding our calling, purpose, and destiny. With the aid of Firewalk – the Guardian Stone of Refinement – we can remove any unnecessary impurities or weight to move forward.
Facing our fears and doubts can be a challenging endeavor, but it is essential for unlocking the full extent of our potential with God’s blessing. It is only through being brave, courageous, and accepting His guidance that we can discover what He has set out for us to achieve.
2 Corinthian 3:7-18, “But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?
For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.
Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech— unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ.
But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless, when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
