Black Opal- Guardian Stone of Selflessness

Philippians 2:1-4, “Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord of one mind. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”

The Black Opal, often called the Guardian Stone of Selflessness, is a powerful symbol on our journey to understanding our calling, purpose and destiny in life with God through Jesus Christ. According to the Bible, we should not be motivated by selfishness, empty conceit or pride but with humility and selflessness when it comes to helping others and looking out for their best interests. The Black Opal represents this spiritual concept that is so important when we seek out God’s divine plan for our lives. As a reminder of the importance and necessity of selflessness on our journey toward destiny, the Black Opal can be seen everywhere in various forms – from jewelry to decorations.

1 Thessalonians 5:14-18, “Now we exhort you, brethren, warn those who are unruly, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Throughout life, we all strive to find our true purpose and meaning. On our journey of soul-searching for that ultimate truth, we encounter many paths, some of which have us seeking earthly pleasures. But there is one path that stands out amongst them all because it offers inner peace – the path of selflessness. Those who travel down it often wear Black Opal as their guardian stone, reminding them to “do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourself”. Such a principle may appear hard to maintain in an egocentric world; however, understanding how this small act of selflessness can be deeply fulfilling and rewarding is essential for those on their journey to finding God, through Jesus Christ.

Romans 12:17-18, “Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.” The Black Opal reveals the steps we must take when striving to fulfill our destiny in this life with God through Jesus Christ.

The Black Opal is the guardian stone of Selflessness, protecting us in our journey toward our calling, purpose and destiny in life with God through Jesus Christ. It encourages us to live a life of service out of love, not from selfishness or empty conceit. By adorning ourselves with this stone, we’re reminded to think humbly of others as being more important than ourselves.

We are guided on our path by continually wanting less for ourselves while doing more for others, living in complete harmony with the universe. The wisdom harkened forth by the Black Opal teaches us humility and encourages us to walk towards our highest self-expression and potential.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7, “Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”
